ABOUT

Aloe vera is a stemless or short-stemmed plant up to 25-40 inches tall, spreading by offshoots. The leaves are thick and fleshy, green to gray-green, with some varieties showing white spots on the upper and lower surfaces of the stem.
The leaf margin is serrated, with small white denticles. Flowers appear in summer on a spike up to 35 inches tall. Each flower is pendulous, with a yellow tubular corolla 1 inch long.
Aloe vera is a herb with succulent leaves arranged in a rosette shape.
The leaves of aloe vera have special water-storing tissues called parenchyma, which help it tolerate drought well.

      Spring

    • Aloe Vera is a houseplant that can be propagated at any time of year. However, it is recommended to propagate in early March, when the plant has an active growing phase.
The fastest and most effective way of propagation is by a leaf.
A cut leaf is placed in a dark place and kept until the cut is dry. This takes about 5-7 days. The dried cut should be treated with wooden charcoal or ash and placed in moist soil suitable for Aloes to a depth of 1 inch.
It requires constant watering until roots appear. However, do not over-water the plant, as this can cause the young root to rot and the leaf to die.
Also, good light and an air temperature of at least 77 °F.
