Parlour palm has long been used as an indoor plant. This beautiful plant with dark green foliage was transported to the USA from Central America and immediately became a popular indoor plant.
Sometimes you can find single-stemmed specimens, but more often palms are grown in small clumps to resemble palm-shaped bushes.
The branches are popular in floral arrangements because they can last up to 40 days after being cut from the plant.
Parlour palm is slow growing plant and can take years to reach full height (2 to 6 feet indoors and 6 to 16 feet outdoors).
